They include the repairs of pipes, fittings, valves, water meters, and other critical components on business properties. These repairs help to maintain business continuity and to eliminate water loss and their consequent costs.
Leaks may occur in water infrastructure due to ageing and/or corroded pipes, subsidence, poor installation workmanship, volatile pressure, temperature changes, or from damage due to traffic or construction work.
Water pipe leak repairs involve isolating the source of the leak(s), excavating (for underground infrastructure), turning off the water supply, then replacing any damaged sections of pipe. The replaced pipe is then pressure tested and the work area is fully reinstated.
